• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, charts, and work orders
• Determining machining operations and sequence of work
• Measuring and laying out work pieces
• Calculating dimensions and tolerances
• Setting up and operating CNC and other machine tools
• Selecting and installing cutting tools and equipment
• Adjusting machine settings and tooling
• Using precision measuring instruments
• Inspecting finished work for accuracy and quality
• Performing routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Following workplace health and safety procedures
