Janitorial Supervisor - Colonsay

Topa is looking for motivated candidate to join our team as a Janitorial Supervisor at Colonsay. The successful candidate will be responsible for working as part of the Topa team to supervise and maintain work. 

Position Title: Janitorial Supervisor

Location: Mosaic Colonsay

Start Date: Immediately 

Closing: Position will remain open until a successful candidate is hired

Responsibilities:

• Manage/schedule employees
• Supervise co-workers while performing tasks 
• Report discrepancies to management
• Administration duties (ordering supplies/completing timesheets)
• Ensure work is completed to client/Topa standards
• Perform Human resources tasks
• Follow up on completed tasks to properly mentor
• Clean Lobbies, restrooms, offices, walkways, ramps, and stairways of buildings
• Sweep, scrub. Wash, and polish floors and clean rugs
• Dust furniture, wash walls
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting of up to 50lbs
• Empty waste and transport to disposal area
• Replenish bathroom supplies
• Strip and wax floors
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment
• Ability to work independently
• Understanding of health and safety regulations
• Problem solving Skills
• Ability to Multitask
• Must pass a Drug and Alcohol test
• Experience working in a similar cleaning or janitorial role is considered an asset
• Must have valid class 5 drivers license

• Safety meetings 
• Tool box talks 
• Site inspections
• Complete FLRA's
