The successful applicant will be required to work in accordance with the BCGEU Collective Agreement as well as the applicable policies and procedures of Tla’amin Health and Tla’amin Nation. This position is open to applicants of all genders.

 

Key Responsibilities

Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Tla’amin laws, regulations, policies, practices, and procedures as directed by the Position. Maintains confidentiality as required pertaining to citizens, clients, employees, and general matters of the Nation.

 

  • Ensures interior of building is clean and disinfected
  • Maintain cleanliness in the staff and public washrooms daily office spaces
  • Empties trash cans and other waste containers, ie. Compost and recycling boxes
  • Sweeps and mops stairways
  • Checks and spot-cleans windows daily
  • Maintains records of daily/monthly tasks: work log, supply/equipment orders
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Performs other related duties as directed by the Manager

 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent education
  • Workplace Hazardous Material information system (WHIMIS)
  • Acceptable Criminal Record check
  • Maintain a basic First Aid & CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Current Food Safe certificate or willingness to obtain

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Well-developed oral communication and reading skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to interact respectfully with children, staff, and families
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • This is a physical, laborious position which requires moving, standing and lifting for the majority of the workday

 

Working Conditions

Work is performed at Tla’amin Health.  Hours of work 6:30 am to 2:30 pm.

 

Additional Information

All employees working for Tla’amin Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
